Yelena is an IT professional, who was previously a key contributor to the Medicare.gov website and was involved with numerous state and local governmental projects in both, maintenance release management and business analysis / process reengineering capacity. In the last few years she has transitioned to the background verification industry, evaluating business needs in a highly competitive marketplace and driving release and maintenance of consumer facing and internal products to meet those needs.

She obtained a BBA in Information Systems Management from Pace University. Yelena is also a Yellow belt in Six Sigma methodology. In her next life she aspires to be a veterinarian.

Her experience and insight of technology’s role in the success of any industry led to her involvement with s.m.ART.  She is excited to apply this knowledge to help achieve the organization’s mission. She loves to travel and explore new cultures and makes it a point to immerse herself in the local customs and cuisine during her travels.
